Immune dysfunction in Hodgkin's disease
The differential white cell count may show:
- neutrophilia - common
- eosinophilia - in 15%
- lymphopenia - often in disseminated disease
Functional immune dysfunction may be demonstrated by:
- aggressive herpes zoster infection
- cryptococcal meningitis
