Infections
Infectious causes of lymphadenopathy may be local or general.
Local infections tend to cause lymphadenopathy as follows:
- cervical nodes - throat or scalp
- axillary nodes - arm infection or immunisation
- inguinal nodes - leg infection, perineal, perianal
