Streptococcus milleri
Streptococcus milleri is a heterogenous group of bacteria which show variable haemolysis and Lancefield group. They are commensals of the upper respiratory tract, gut and vagina, and are regularly found with anaerobes in abscesses in the brain, liver, lung and gut.
Typically, they are dependent on carbon dioxide for growth.
