Oral Ty21a vaccine/Vivotif
Oral Ty21a/Vivotif is a live attenuated S.typhi strain Ty21a in an enteric coat.
It provides good protection - 67% over 3 years - but is expensive, and is not licensed for children under 6 years
It is given orally in three doses on alternate days.
