Posterior column loss drift
To test for the drift typical of posterior column loss, the patient is asked to hold both arms fully extended at shoulder level in front of him, with the palms upwards.
If there is drifting of the arms as a result of posterior column loss, then this is typically pseudoathetotic in form.
