Plexiform neurofibroma
Plexiform neurofibroma occur in neurofibromatosis type I. They are flat lesions of moderate size consisting of diffuse soft tissue or nerve enlargement. The lesions tend to follow the course of a nerve and may involve the skin, subcutaneous tissue, deep planes and may even cause distortion of bone growth. These lesions may be a considerable source of disfigurement and/or functional disability.
