Cardiac arrhythmias in children

There are three types of arrhythmias in children:

  • heart block
  • ventricular arrhythmias
  • paroxysmal atrial tachycardia

In addition there is the normal sinus arrhythmia seen in children when the heart rate slows in expiration and quickens in inspiration.
