Clinical features
Features include:
- mental retardation
- altered lacrimation - this may predispose to corneal abrasion
- hyperhidrosis
- self-mutilation with apparent insensitivity to pain
- recurrent hypoglycaemia
- episodic hypertension
- hyperpyrexia
- vomiting
- epilepsy
