The following histological types of glomerulonephritis are characterised by proliferative changes and are therefore known as the proliferative glomerulonephritides:

  • diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis
  • focal segmental glomerulonephritis
  • focal segmental glomerulonephritis with crescent formation
  • membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis
