Occupational trends
Certain occupations are more prone to suffer from particular types of burn:
- firefighters: mainly flame and inhalational burns
- plating industry: acid burns
- fertilizer production: acid and alkali burns
- soap manufacture: alkali burns
- dye industry: phenol burns
- explosives: phenol
- petroleum industry: complex hydrocarbon chemical burns
- roadworks: bitumen thermal
- air conditioner cleaning: phenol
