Articularis cubiti muscle (anatomy)

Authoring team

The articularis cubiti muscle arises from the deep surface of the medial head of triceps distally. It inserts into the posterior capsule of the elbow joint.

It acts to lift the capsule away from the elbow joint on extension.

Articularis cubiti is innervated by the radial nerve (C6-8).
