Sharing the workload

Authoring team

Training practices try to contribute to education in many ways, from helping work-experience school children to supporting doctors and nurses studying for further qualifications. Data may be being collected for research purposes, such as for the Morbidity Statistics from General Practice national study or to advance information technology such as the Prodigy pilot project.

Any help GP registrars can give the practice's educational ambitions will be much appreciated and, naturally, cooperation with current projects will be expected.

Pulling one's weight: everyone ends up with the same amount of work in a practice whether trying to do more or to do less than their share. The difference is the atmosphere created and in the joy in the job.
