mal de debarquement

Mal de debarquement or 'sickness of disembarkment' experienced especially after a sea voyage is persistence of imbalance or a rocking sensation after exposure to passive motion (a transient sensation is a normal occurrence) (1)

Management of these patients is similar to other vestibular disorders, using customised vestibular rehabilitation exercises. Patients whose symptoms extend beyond one month should be considered for a referral to an audiovestibular physician or other specialist in vestibular disorders (1).
