  • flecainide use increases digoxin concentration by about 20%

  • amiodarone causes a significant increase in plasma concentrations of flecainide

  • propranolol co-administration leads to a significant increase in plasma concentrations of both drugs

  • the use of negatively inotropic drugs with flecainide (e.g. verapamil, propranolol, disopyramide) increases the risk of heart failure (1)

  • cimetidine and fluoxetine may also increase flecainide concentrations

  • drugs which can prolong the QT interval (e.g. terfenadine, astemizole, quinine) when used with flecainide further increase the risk of serious ventricular arrhythmias
