Clinical features of multiple small emboli
The symptoms of multiple small pulmonary emboli include:
- symptoms of pulmonary hypertension:
- chest pain
- exertional dyspnoea
- syncope
- fatigue
- haemoptysis
- pleuritic chest pain
The signs of multiple small pulmonary emboli include:
- raised JVP
- parasternal heave
- loud P2
- ECG changes of pulmonary embolism
Angina may reflect a critically limited cardiac output.
