Treatment
Treatment for Felty's syndrome is required for:
- recurrent infections
- severe anaemia
- persistent skin ulceration
- thrombocytopenic bleeding
Therapy aims to raise the white cell count. Approaches which have been effective include:
- splenectomy
- lithium carbonate
- testosterone
