Hyperkeratosis (palms and soles)
May be associated with chronic itching and scratching e.g. secondary to eczema.
Other causes include:
- bare-foot walking
- secondary syphilis
- keratoderma blennorrhagicum of Reiter's disease
- hypovitaminosis A
- chronic arsenic poisoning
