Lentigo simplex

Lentigo simplex is a benign form of pigmented skin lesion. Developing in childhood or early adulthood, lesions are 1-2mm macules that are well circumscribed. Colour is tan to brown. Histologically, there is an increase in basal epidermal cell melanocytes and their pigmentation

Lesions are not thought to be related to sun exposure.
