clinical features
The disease follows a chronic, fluctuating course and the severity may differ between individuals (1).
Presentation is with cosmetic concerns, skin eruption and occasional symptoms of burning, tightness, and less commonly, pruritus (2)
Facial flushing and telangiectasis are not features of Perioral dermatitios (unlike in rosacea) (3)
The condition is intolerant to sunlight and soaps, cosmetics or even simple topical preparations may be tolerated badly (1)
