Epidemiology of endocrine disease
The commonest endocrine diseases are:
- diabetes mellitus
- thyroid disease
- children with short stature and/or delayed puberty
- subfertility (up to 10% of all couples)
- menstrual disorders in young females
- primary hyperparathyroidism (0.1% of population)
- osteoporosis
