    • sudden death
    • death from hyperglycaemia or hypoglycaemia
    • fatal or non-fatal myocardial infarction
    • angina
    • heart failure

    • vitreous haemorrhage
    • retinal photocoagulation
    • blindness in one eye
    • cataract extraction

  • death related to diabetes cuased by:
    • myocardial infarction
    • sudden death
    • stroke
    • peripheral vascular disease
    • renal disease
    • hyperglycaemia
    • hypoglycaemia

  • death from all causes
