Antrochoanal polyps are benign lesions that are usually unilateral. They are uncommon.
The polyps commences as an oedematous lining of the maxillary antrum. It gradually prolapses through the natural or an accessory ostium into the nasal cavity, and enlarges towards the posterior choana and nasopharynx.
Presentation is usually with:
Surgical removal is indicated.
Recurrence is frequent and may necessitate a Caldwell-Luc operation.
