Spherical objects need to be hooked out. They cannot be grasped with forceps which will only push them further in.
Live insects cause great distress. Drown the insect in olive oil and if necessary then syringe it out.
NB Don’t hurt the patient or risk pushing the object further in, making someone else’s task more difficult.
