Types of analgesia
Commonly used analgesic drugs in infants include:
- opioids
- NSAIDs
- paracetamol
- local anaesthetics
Balanced titration of two or more classes of drug may limit the dose of any one class and reduce the likelihood of systemic unwanted effects.
