- chronic cholestatic liver disease:
- partial biliary obstruction
- primary biliary cirrhosis
- primary sclerosing cholangitis
- drug-induced e.g. anabolic steroids
- chronic infiltrative liver disease:
- sarcoidosis
- malignant metastasis
