22. Non-verbal behaviour: demonstrates appropriate eye contact, posture and position, movement, facial expression and use of voice.
23. Use of notes: if reads, writes notes or uses a computer, does so in a way which does not to interfere with dialogue or rapport.
24. Acceptance: acknowledges patient's views and feelings, accepts patient's legitimacy and is not judgmental.
25. Empathy and support: expresses concern, understanding, and willingness to support; acknowledges the patient's efforts to cope and any appropriate self-care measures taken.
26. Sensitivity: deals sensitively with embarrassing and disturbing topics and also physical pain, including when associated with physical examination.
