Simple pulmonary function tests
The basic pulmonary function tests may be performed with a peak expiratory flow meter and a spirometer.
The following values may be measured:
- peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR)
- vital capacity (VC)
- forced vital capacity (FVC)
- forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1)
- FEV1/FVC ratio
