Common abbreviations used in obs & gynae
ARM - artificial rupture of membranes
CTG - cardiotocogram - device measuring fetal heart rate and uterine contractions
EDD - estimated date of delivery
LMP - last menstrual period (date of first bleed)
SROM - spontaneous rupture of membranes
TOP - termination of pregnancy
- STOP - suction
- PGTOP - prostaglandin
IOL - induction of labour
