Cyclosporiasis

Cyclosporiasis is infection with the coccidian protozoan parasite, Cyclospora.

This organism can cause enteritis in both immunocompetent and immunocompromised hosts. Cyclospora is an acid-fast staining organism and has occasionally been mistaken for cryptosporidium (also acid-fast staining).
