Clinical features of NGU in a female
The uncomplicated picture is as follows:
- usually asymptomatic
- sometimes:
- dysuria
- vaginal discharge
- lower abdominal pain
- there may cervicitis and proctitis
Complications include:
- a similar range to gonococcus, including:
- bartholinitis
- parametritis
- salpingitis and pelvic inflammatory disease
