Nystatin

Indications:

  • candidiasis

Side-effects:

  • diarrhoea at high doses
  • nausea and vomiting

Routes of administration:

  • oral:
    • tablets
    • suspension

Note that nystatin is only indicated for infants over 1 month old. An alternative preparation such as miconazole gel may be used in infants less than 1 month old.
