Clinical features
Clinical features include:
- fever
- anaemia - pallor
- abdominal pain / tenderness
- bleeding - purpura, petechiae
- neurologic abnormalities are transient and variable:
- headache
- confusion
- aphasia
- altered level of consciousness - from lethargy to coma
- hemiparesis and seizures in advanced disease
- haematuria
- uraemia
