Cautions:

  • DISULFIRAM LIKE REACTION WITH ALCOHOL
  • hepatic impairment

Contra-indications:

  • pregnancy in first trimester
  • porphyria

Side-effects:

  • nausea, vomiting and gastrointestinal disturbances
  • peripheral neuropathy with prolonged treatment
  • rashes
  • leucopenia
  • darkens urine
  • dizziness
  • drowsiness
  • headaches
  • ataxia
  • transient epileptiform seizures with high doses

Routes of administration:

  • Oral
  • Tablets
