Classification of severity of Dupuytren's contracture
Dupuytren's disease can be classified according to the severity:
- mild
- no functional problem
- no contractures
- mild meta-carpo phalangeal joint contracture only (<30 degrees)
- moderate
- notable functional problem
- or moderate meta-carpo phalangeal joint contracture (between 30 and 60 degrees)
- moderate proximal inter phalangeal joint contracture (<30 degrees)
- first web contractures
- severe
- severe contractures of both metacarpo phalangeal joint (>60 degrees), joint and proximal inter phalangeal joint (>30 degrees)
