  • majority of cases will resolve with conservative treatment within 3–6 months. Approximately 80% of patients have complete resolution of pain within one year
  • bilateral and HLA-B27 associated arthritis cases have worst prognosis
  • fascial collapse and over-pronation with pes planus are complications
