Oligoclonal bands in the cerebrospinal fluid
Oligoclonal bands implies, in the absence of oligoclonal bands in the blood, intrathecal production of immunoglobulin. It may therefore be caused by:
- sarcoid
- multiple sclerosis
- systemic lupus erythematosus
- subacute sclerosing panencephalitis
- subarachnoid haemorrhage
- neurosyphilis
- CNS lymphoma
