All forms of intraocular surgery may precipitate glaucoma.
Non-penetrating trauma may cause angle recession as a result of disinsertion of the anterior radial fibres of the ciliary body from the scleral spur. Glaucoma follows several months or years afterwards, and is probably associated with collapse of the trabecular meshwork.
