Clinical features
When this syndrome is fully expressed clinical features include the three features of the Kartagener triad, i.e.:
- situs inversus
- chronic chest infection - usually due to Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumonia - colonisation with pseudomonas is much less common than in cystic fibrosis
- sinusitis
In addition there may be live but immotile spermatozoa present in the male ejaculate.
