Clinical features
Possible clinical features include:
- schizophrenic thought disorder, for example
- concrete thinking
- loosening of associations
- disorders of the stream of thought, including
- pressure of thought
- poverty of thought
- thought blocking
- delusions, sometimes preceded by delusional mood
- may be primary or secondary
- may be primary or secondary
- abnormalities of mood
- mood change (such as depression, anxiety, irritability, euphoria)
- blunting of affect
- incongruity of affect
- hallucinations
- auditory hallucinations are one of the commonest symptoms of schizophrenia
- visual hallucinations are less frequent
- other modalities: occasionally
