Medullary cystic disease
Nephronophthisis describes a group of renal disorders characterised by medullary cysts, cortical tubular atrophy and interstitial fibrosis, and progressive renal failure.
Together, these conditions account for 20% of cases of chronic renal failure in children and adolescents.
