Tubulo-interstitial disease of the kidney
These are a group of diseases which are characterised by histological and functional damage to the tubules and the interstitium of the kidney.
The main types of tubulo-interstitial disease are:
- chronic pyelonephritis
- drug-induced tubulo-interstitial nephritis
- metabolic tubulo-interstitial nephritis
- malignant tubulo-interstitial nephritis
