Asthma control test

The Questionnaire includes response to 5 questions, 3 related to symptoms, 1 medication use and 1 overall control.

  • is validated in adults and children aged over 3 years (a separate children Asthma Control Test for 4-11 year olds is available)
  • a 5 point response score is calculated and a score of
  • 19 or less may indicate that the asthma is not under control while a score of 25 or above indicates that asthma is under control
  • 20-24 indicates a reasonably well controlled disease (1)
