Type I crescentic glomerulonephritis is associated with anti-GBM antibodies.
Histology shows crescent formation and immunofluorescence shows a linear deposition of IgG or C3 in the glomerular basement membrane.
Type I crescentic glomerulonephritis may be associated with pulmonary haemorrhage in which case the disorder is called Goodpasture's syndrome.
