The right middle lobe of the lung is divided into two bronchopulmonary segments on the basis of the division of the right principal bronchus into two segmental bronchi:

  • lateral bronchopulmonary segment; right bronchopulmonary segment number four - supplied by lateral segmental bronchus
  • medial bronchopulmonary segment; right bronchopulmonary segment number five - supplied by medial segmental bronchus
