Minor hand burns
- liberally coat with silver sulphadiazine
- enclose in a sterile plastic bag and bandage
- keep elevated and encourage movements of hand and fingers
- provide analgesia and tetanus prophylaxis
- review at 4-5 days - if marked residual oedema, replace bag, otherwise change dressing to Bactigras and gauze
