Acid maltase deficiency (adult onset)
Adult-onset acid maltase deficiency is a glycogen storage disease which is characterised by:
- severe diaphragmatic weakness
- early respiratory failure
- mild proximal limb weakness
- severe pelvic girdle and trunk weakness
