To block the uptake of radioactive iodine and thus reduce the risk of developing thyroid cancer in the event of a nuclear accident.
It is indicated for use by:
- Pregnant women of all trimesters and lactating women
- neonates and infants including breast fed babies
- children and adolescents
- adults including emergency personnel
