Quadrangular space (anatomy)

In the axilla on each side, the quadrangular space is bounded by:

  • superiorly:
    • and ventrally: subscapularis
    • and dorsally: teres minor
  • inferiorly: teres major
  • medially: long head of triceps
  • laterally: humerus

It transmits the:

  • axillary nerve
  • posterior circumflex humeral artery
  • posterior circumflex humeral vein
