Tachycardia (sinus)

Sinus tachycardia - increased heart rate with normal rhythm - occurs when the abnormally fast heart rate is the result of pacemaking from the sino-atrial node.

One should suspect atrial flutter with 2:1 block if the ventricular rate is 150 beats/min.
