  • polyhydramnios prenatally
  • often preterm delivery, secondary to the polyhydramnios
  • in the first days of life:
    • profuse watery diarrhoea
    • excessive weight loss
    • dehydration
    • abdominal distension in many cases, which has resulted in unnecessary laparotomies being performed for supposed intestinal obstruction.
